A cute little makeup bag filled with beauty products? It could only mean one thing!, Ipsy’s October Glam Bag has arrived! Ipsy is a $10 monthly beauty subscription where you get a themed Glam Bag filled with goodies. This month’s is ‘Black Magic’. My guess is there will be items that can be used for both everyday makeup looks and for those glam Halloween parties! Here is my October bag!I love this bag!! Look at the zipper! A ghost with heart eyes! Yes, for me it’s the little things. I love that Ipsy went with a light color for a bag instead of the normal “dark & gloom”. If you think about it, October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so the pink isn’t too out of place. The design on the bag is a custom drawing by Valfré, who is known for her chic and unique designs on everything for clothing to accessories. This is one of my favorite prints for an Ipsy bag!
Let’s see what’s inside!
Sally’s Box Aqua Moist Gel Cream (Deluxe Size; Full size 50 ML $43.50): I have never tried K-Beauty products and was interested in trying this moisturizer out. It is a cooling gel infused with Provence roses, chamomile and lavender and is said to moisturize the skin from within. I tried it and it smells amazing and it feels great AFTER it dries. When I applied it, it was very cooling but started to feel sticky shortly after. The stickiness didn’t last long though. I prefer other moisturizers but this was a good product to try.Preventive Measures 101: Lips 101 After Hours (Full Size $13): I love a good moisturizing chapstick/lip balm, especially since I wear liquid lipsticks a lot. I am a huge fan of Marc Jacobs and Glam Glow lip treatments. This chapsitck didn’t seem to “Wow” me. It felt good on, but there was nothing really special about it. I don’t think it is worth the price, you can find cheaper alternatives (Burt’s Bees) at most drugstores.tre’StiQue Matte Lip Crayon in Belize Bordeaux (Deluxe; Full Size $28): There were two choices for the Glam Bag; the other choice was Fig. Belize Bordeaux is a deep wine color and Fig is an everyday nude color. I’m not a fan of lip crayons, but Belize Bordeaux is a perfect color for fall. The color didn’t last long after eating and drinking like most of my lipsticks/liquid lipsticks, but I’ll still give this a shot when I need to add a quick color to my lips.essence Cosmetics- Superfine Eyeliner Pen Waterproof (Full Size $2.99): I have super oily eyelids and need waterproof EVERYTHING, especially when it comes to my eye makeup. Unfortunately this eyeliner was not waterproof enough for me. I was able to wipe it off with a regular Kleenex tissue, with little to no effort. The color is pretty dark and the tip allowed for a precise application. I personally use Marc Jacobs Beauty Magic Marc’er Precision Pen as my Holy Grail for liquid eyeliner.theBalm Cosmetics- CabanaBoy Blush (Deluxe; Full Size $21): I have tried a few of theBalm’s products and have been very pleased with the results. This blush was no exception. It is a dusty rose color with purple undertones, a gorgeous color and a perfection addition to any fall look this season. My only issue is the size of the deluxe. It is more like an eyeshadow sample instead of a blush sample. The size makes it hard to use a regular brush to apply it.
There you have it, Ipsy’s October Glam Bag! My personal favorites are the bag itself and the CabanaBoy Blush (even though I am disappointed by the “deluxe” sample). This month wasn’t a personal favorite of mine, but I enjoyed trying out new products I never would have purchased on my own.
