I get a lot of questions about what kind of treats and chews I give Khaleesi. I don’t buy any of her treats at a local pet store because I prefer to give her all natural treats and chews. Since I already did an August Favorites for the things I currently love, I figured it was only fair to share some of Khaleesi’s favorite treats of the month.
Prancing Paws Inc: I stumbled across Samantha’s shop on Etsy in May, when I was searching for items to prepare for Khaleesi’s arrival. Samantha specializes in yogurt treats for dogs. She has recently branched out to making little dog care packages! For Halloween, Samantha is creating little pumpkins and cauldron packages for pups. Each comes with either a bat toy or a bear toy and a bag of her yummy yogurt treats. I’ll be buying one of each for Khaleesi! These are Khaleesi’s favorite treat out of any she has had. She especially loves them cold so I keep them refrigerated. I highly recommend trying out Prancing Paws Inc for quality treats for your pup!
Ollie B Biscuits: If you want quality dog biscuits, look no further! These biscuits smell amazing! I had to look twice to make sure they were actually dog biscuits. They come in two sizes: Biscuits, which I give Khaleesi after a bath, or Biscuit Bites, which I have used for training Khaleesi. They aren’t super hard like a normal dog biscuit, which makes it great for Khalessi who is still teething. They are hand-made by a family owned business in Savannah, Georgia. I also recommend trying their Biscuit Club subscription. Prices start at $12 a month for a subscription and you also receive a free glass biscuit jar at sign up!
Complete Natural Nutrition: Cheese Please: I haven’t met a dog that doesn’t like cheese and Khaleesi is no exception! Cheese Please is an all-natural treat with only one ingredient, cheese. I use these treats after grooming Khaleesi because it was the only thing that got Khaleesi to calm down during her first few days of grooming with me. Ever since, she happily sits still for grooming which has been a pure blessing! If your pup loves cheese, I highly recommend buying these treats!
Bully Bundles Bully Sticks: I have always seen rawhides in the stores and after much research I decided to try bully sticks from Bully Bundles with Khaleesi. This is her favorite chew out of all of the ones she has tried (pig ears from BarkBox comes in at a close second!). They are all natural and don’t have a strong odor, which is a huge plus for me! They are a lot thicker than the bully sticks I find at my local pet store and keep Khaleesi entertained for hours. Since Khaleesi is still teething, these sticks seem to last her for about a week. The bully sticks come in two sizes 6 inch and 12 inch and subscription prices start at $16 for a 6-count bag. I would recommend checking out these bully sticks, your pup and your nose will thank you! Bully Bundles was generous enough to give me a code for my readers, use code LipstickPup for 10% off.
What are some of your pup’s favorite treats and chews? Do you prefer an all-natural treat or chew? Does each treat have a specific purpose in training your pup? Leave your favorites in the comments below! I’m always looking for new recommendations.
